Lynch Creek Farms Christmas Giveaway

For years I have used my own homemade garland and greenery cut from nearby woods and occasionally picked up some things from Lowe's. Well, last year as our photo shoot approached and my greenery was started to dry out (the shoot wasn't until mid January) I decided to splurge and order some fresh new greenery. I had some trouble finding anything available seeing how Christmas had come and gone at that point but saw that Kate from Centsational Girl had mentioned using Lynch Creek Farm the prior year. I went on their website and ordered a bunch of garland and several wreaths. I was absolutely delighted when they arrived. They wreaths were huge and so lush! Here is one of the wreaths on our porch last year:

and here in our dining room:

This year they were so sweet and sent me boxes full of greenery including the garland on my chandelier and the gorgeous Southern Magnolia wreath above our buffet:

And two of these darling window wreaths (I will show you where I put the other one next week):

I think my favorite thing, though is this little vintage wooden sled! I will show you more photos of it next week as well!

Today I am excited to let you all know Lynch Creek Farm is giving one of their beautiful wreaths away to one of our readers.

The winner can choose between the  Southern Magnolia:
or their beautiful Country Christmas Wreath:

So, how can you win one of these gorgeous wreaths from Lynch Creek Farm?

My Tiny Not So Great Attempt at Red and a Reindeer Pillow

My lovely little Lillie informed me as we started decorating a little while ago that she was pretty sure Christmas was supposed to be red and green, not all white. Although she is not perfect =), I have to say she said it in the sweetest little voice and seemed somewhat concerned - as if possibly I didn't know this fact. So, I decided seeing how we had already finished the downstairs and we were doing pink in her room that I would try to add a touch of red either in our bedroom or to the porch. Our new cranberry reindeer pillow was finished and ready to be photographed right before I started decorating our master bedroom so I thought I would try it in there first. Even though it was just a little touch I have to say it just wasn't me. I do really love the pillow though so I've decided I'm going to go with red out on our porch so I can use it there. I am hoping to get that done later this week. That's my last space left to decorate. So, this red lasted about ten minutes and then I settled for something a little more me which I will show you next week. And yes, I know, I had planned on painting my room Revere Pewter and still am planning on it but am going to hold off until the new year. There has just been so much going on these past few weeks that I can barely see straight. And due to the time of day I took these I had to crank my ISO WAY up so they are super grainy. Sorry! I wish I had taken the time to get my tripod out. Ugh!

The beautiful wreath is from Lynch Creek Farms. They have the most beautiful greenery. I will share more about them later this week!

The reindeer pillows are now for sale in our shop:

I also wanted to introduce you to our newest sponsor, Bloom, by Jenny Raulli.

She has a lovely blog with lots of ideas like this Christmas Cocoa Kit:

And also an Etsy shop full of fun party supplies and printable collections!
Head on over and check them out!

Hope you all are having a wonderful week! Be sure to check back soon (hopefully tomorrow) for a Christmas Giveaway.

Hot Chocolate Bar and a New Chalkboard

Last winter we did a little hot cocoa station and it turned out to be such a hit with our family that we did it again this year. I love it because it's decorative but we also use it regularly too and the girls think it's so much fun!  This year we had to move our mirrored chest out of the living room to make room for our tree. I thought it would look pretty against the wallpaper in the dining room but wasn't sure it would fit or how it would look with our farmhouse table. Well, it ended up fitting much better than I thought it would and I loved how it looked with the wallpaper. I decided to make a chalkboard with a rustic frame to help balance out the look with the farmhouse table. I will have a tutorial for making the chalkboard ready soon.

Before I had time to write on the chalkboard I put up this simple noel sign.

Here you can see how it looks with the wallpaper. I hadn't finished decorated the other sideboard yet when I took these pictures but I have since so I will photograph the whole room hopefully at some point this week.

And here are some close-up shots:

The straws are from The Tom Kat Studio

The little spoons are from The Tom Kat Studio as well. Lillie is fascinated with them. The mugs were a gift and are from Burdick Chocolates in Walpole, NH.

I hope you all have a lovely Monday! We will be back tomorrow with a new product!

Christmas Past...

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We had a delicious meal with the team in Williamsburg (they did have the make your own cupcake station!) and then about an hour after eating began the journey to Winston-Salem for our game against Wake Forest. I think Lillie and Lola are going to grow up thinking Thanksgiving is some kind of basketball holiday.

Now that is is officially the start of the Christmas season I thought I would do a post with last year's Christmas decorations. And then starting tomorrow I will be  posting photos of what we've started doing this year (and hopefully we will have a couple of new products ready this week as well!) and then I will have a full tour for you next week! I am excited because I moved some furniture around and the tree is in a new spot this year and I like the feel of this year's living room and dining room so much better!

But for today here are all of last year's decorations. Ignore the sun glare in many of the pictures. I had to take them all during nap time last year even though it was not the best time for taking pictures! =)
Here is our living room and dining room:

We have a few ruffled burlap stockings left in our shop!

And here are some shots of our Living Room and Dining Room at night.

And here is a project we did in the kitchen. (I haven't shot the rest of the kitchen yet but hopefully will have time next week).

And here is our family room:

And here are a few shots of Lola's nursery:

 And Lillie's room:

And our bedroom:

And here's our porch:

If you have any questions about where we found things we have a FAQ's page and a section with info about each room.  And we also have a tutorials section where you can find several of the projects seen in some of our spaces above.

I hope you all are having a wonderful holiday weekend!
