We had room for a pool and put in a garden instead.

Something you might want to consider in addition to perennials is adding bulbs that will return in your climate. I buy mine in bulk from Van Engelen. They would pop up in between whatever else you have and help you with fresh flowers in the house. Flowers are a HUGE deal to me and I am always trying to grow more in my garden.

I also grow wildflowers that tend to self seed (larkspur is good for that, though it is poisonous; my children know not to touch it). I buy those in bulk from Wildseed Farms.

For annuals, try Outside Pride for bulk seeds.

Your garden is beautiful.I'd love to see photos next year with what you've added when it is in bloom.Brandy @ The Prudent Homemakerhttp://www.theprudenthomemaker.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6927526976748945841.post-11010473345186644102016-08-28T20:33:57.946-04:002016-08-28T20:33:57.946-04:00Pools are like cupcakes, I think, fun and nice to ...Pools are like cupcakes, I think, fun and nice to have on occasion. I have had extensive brick walk ways in the past, and the little weeds would drive me crazy! Then I learned to put Preen down early in the spring, and every three months until frost- made a huge difference 😀Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6927526976748945841.post-23495277720894208752016-08-27T15:40:45.646-04:002016-08-27T15:40:45.646-04:00Absolutely beautiful!Absolutely beautiful!Lanahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09380649410508372279noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6927526976748945841.post-36664190768384074622016-08-27T11:53:56.357-04:002016-08-27T11:53:56.357-04:00Your house with its views is charming and this gar...Your house with its views is charming and this garden...wow.
