Happy Birthday Dana!!!!

Today was Dana's 25th birthday! Ahhhh - we are all getting so old! Unfortunately, for her, Miss Lillabel has been so sick the past few days and until today Jon had been out of town with recruiting and games so I am behind on EVERYTHING, and didn't get to follow through on a few of the things I wanted to do for her birthday. I didn't have any grand plans or anything, but we really didn't get to do much at all for her except go out for lunch, and then make her a cake. We still had fun, though (or at least Lillie and I did =)....) When it was time for the cake, Lillie definitely want in on the action! To say she loves cake would be an understatement.
Anyway, Happy 25th Birthday, Dana! We love you!

We are so happy that you live near us and wish the rest of the fam would move on down here too!

After diving into the chocolate we quickly took her outfit off!

And don't forget to check back tomorrow to enter into our March giveaway

We will be giving away a tutu this month! I hope to get the post up sometime in the morning, but the way the last week or two has been going it may not be until after Lillie goes to bed.

Introducing Our New Line of Clutches!!!!!

We have been talking about doing some clutches for quite some time now but none of us have had any free time to design them - until now! Jamie was able to, and they turned out STUNNING! I can't wait for you all to see them! I love the rich browns she used! I wish I had somewhere fancy to go so I could use one! Here is a sneak preview of a few of my personal favorites. She also has some bridal ones in white and lilac. We hope to continue adding more of these designs to both our regular accessory line as well as our bridal line. Gorgeous work, Jamie! I love love love them!

Okay, so this first one is my absolute favorite! It looks so elegant yet still so fun and whimsical!

Love this one too, the mocha colored rosettes look so pretty!

I love the simplicity of this one!

Well, that's all for now. It is late and I need to start thinking about heading to bed soon! Lillie's fever was back up again when I put her to bed. She's been sleeping peacefully so far but I am guessing she may be waking soon and I will have another long night ahead of me!
Don't forget to check back on Monday for our MARCH GIVE-AWAY! This time it is going to be one of our TUTUS!!!!

Here are some pictures of Miss Lillabel working on her Valentine's last weekend while we were snowbound:

So, if I can count correctly:
Congratulations to Vittoria!!!!!! Send an e-mail to us at dearlillie@hotmail.com with your size, address and which shirt you would like!
Don't forget to keep checking back, as we always have a giveaway at the beginning of each month and plan on sprinkling in a few unexpected ones as well!

My New Favorite Room and Giveaway Reminder

For me, as I am sure for many of you out there that like to decorate, my favorite room in my house changes constantly. For a while, after we moved into our new home here in Williamsburg last summer, it was a toss-up between Lillian's nursery and our guest bedroom. Then, as the path of destruction that is my daughter, grew, Lillie's nursery dropped off the list. I still love it, but not as much as when she was tiny. I am looking forward to turning it into a bit more of a "big girl" room in a while, when hopefully another little one comes into our lives.

The guest bedroom had dropped off the list because I couldn't find the right pillows to go in front of my shams. I had hoped to make some but just haven't had the time. So, lately it has been my dining room and Jon's and my bedroom that have been my favorites. However, I received a package two days ago that changed my mind! My sister, Jamie, (the one that creates all of the ring-bearer pillows and bouquets and such for Dear Lillie) sent me a beautiful package with some GORGEOUS pillows in it! I ADORE them!!!! I am hoping that she will make some more for us to sell, when she has time. The flowers are made from a silk dupioni in the the perfect color - Silver Moon. The wall color in that room is a beautiful gray from Benjamin Moore, called Pebble Beach. So, I thought I would share with you some updated photos of my guest bedroom. All I have left to do in here is add a collage of vintage style cream frames with black and white or sepia-toned family photos in them to the wall along side the left bed (it is completely bare now and desperately needs something). I have all of the photos printed, I just haven't been able to find the right frames yet.

P.S. This room was done on a really small budget. We painted the walls and then used four $8 rolls of this damask wallpaper. The cornices/crowns above the beds were from our guest bedroom in our home in SC. They were shelves that I got at Hobby Lobby for $12 a piece. I used a $7/yard swiss dot sheer fabric to make the draping from them. I changed my colors when we moved here from a greenish gray color (called gray cashmere) to more of a bluish gray color so I had to paint the shelves to match. I used basic white bedding - a mix of things I got from a higher end line called Pine Cone Hill for half off and some of Target's Shabby Chic Line. The beds are a source of frustration for me - while antiquing in SC, I found the most BEAUTIFUL antique beds and fell in love with them. We were able to get them for a steal and used them in our last house. During our move, however, the movers completely shattered parts of both of them! I was crushed. I used the parts that weren't damaged to make one daybed that we now have out on our porch and found these headboards at Target. They aren't my favorite, but oh well, they are fine for now. The chair was a $6 find. It was nasty and covered in a green felt.

And don't forget - just a few days left for entering our giveaway. Either scroll down two posts or click here to enter.

My Sweet Savannah.....and Giveaway Reminder

Hello everyone! Thanks for all of your sweet comments. Lillie is doing much better now, although we both now have pretty bad head colds again! Arghh! I cannot wait for spring!

Anyway, she hasn't been in much of a mood to nap today so I haven't gotten ANYTHING done and I have a whole bunch of wholesale orders I need to get started on today, but I just wanted to write real quickly and let you all know that she was doing better and to share with you another one of our FAVORITE blogs: My Sweet Savannah by Melaine Thompson. Go check it out now! You will become addicted and spend hours and hours on it! She has gorgeous taste and has the most beautiful posts! I first discovered her on Rate My Space about a year and a half or so ago. (We both were also featured this Christmas on HGTV.com) She has an Etsy shop full of all kinds of cool items, as well! Here are some photos of her home:

OUR FEBRUARY GIVEAWAY!!!!!!!

Hello everyone! Sorry, I had hoped to do this post this morning but we had a bit of a rough night. Lillian woke up at 2AM and was absolutely on fire and shaking. Her fever read 104, but as we discovered this afternoon, our thermometer reads between two to four degrees less than it should I am scared to think how high it actually was! It was a very rough night and when it was still 104 late this morning we called the doctor and then brought her in. Poor little girl has an ear infection AND a virus. She has some medicine now but the doctor is concerned that her temperature may be due to something else so we are supposed to watch her temperature over the next 48 hours and make sure it does go down. She has been miserable all day, but seemed to perk up about an hour ago and is finally sleeping peacefully in her crib right now. So, anyway, we are continuing to pray that she starts to feel better!

On a happier note, we are excited to announce our second ever Dear Lillie Blog Giveaway! I was a bit torn what to do this month. I couldn't decide between one of our rosette tanks or one of our screenprinted shirts, but decided to go ahead with a rosette tank and do one of the ones that incorporated pink in honor of Valentine's Day (we have sold out of all of our red rosette styles).

We are going to give the winner the choice of either our Sophia Tank in Raspberry. or our Larkin Tank in Spotted Black and Hot Pink on Black

They both come in sizes Small, Medium, Large, XLarge or XXLarge.

So, how can you win one of these shirts? It is simple:

1) Make a comment on this post - 1 Entry (please limit to just one comment per day, you can comment each day, though, if you would like)

2) Become a follower - 2 Entries (in order for it to count as an entry, please write "follower" as its own comment in the comment section, and make sure to do it twice so it will count as two extra entries for you, or if you are already a follower, make sure to write "follower" also as a comment twice)

3) Mention this giveaway on your own blog, your facebook page or tweet about it - 4 Entries (Again for this to count make sure to write "blog", "facebook", or "twitter" four different times as comments.)

In case you are wondering why in the world you have to comment each time you blog or tweet about it or become a follower, it is because we use the number of comments to plug into the random number generator and that is how we know what number to plug in and who matches up with it - hope that makes sense.

Good luck to you all and we will announce the winner on Valentine's Day!

Giveaway Update

Just wanted to let you all know we do plan on beginning our next giveaway today, but Lillie is quite sick and until I can get her down for a nap that is not in my arms =) I won't be able to post. Hopefully I will be able to at some point this afternoon, and if not, then tonight!
