Change of Plans and some Exciting Give-Away Information

We were supposed to fly to New Hampshire earlier this morning but poor Miss Lillie came down with strep throat yesterday morning and last night even with several doses of Motrin in her had a temp of 104.4. Poor little munchkin! She is such a sweet little baby, though and didn't really even act that sick except to be a bit more snuggly than normal and she didn't have quite as much energy. We moved our flight back to make sure she was okay so needless to say it has been a pretty crazy day so far.

Anyway, I just wanted to write a quick post to let you all in on a few exciting give-aways!

First, starting tomorrow we will be hosting our biggest give-away yet.

And also, this weekend check out Tatertots and Jello which is one of my favorite blogs. They are so sweet and will be hosting a giveaway for one of our tutus.

Here is Jen from Tatertots and Jello and her beautiful family:

And also check out Ruffles and Stuff (Disney is the most creative person ever and so sweet as well) because they will be giving away one of our Adeliene dresses on Tuesday!

Here is wonderful Disney:

So, hopefully it will be a pretty exciting next week or so for Dear Lillie!

Mommy and Me.....Toddler and Little Girl Tanks to Coordinate with our Women's Tanks

For quite some time now I have wanted to do some toddler and little girl size tanks. I will probably carry them to fit ages one year through about a girls size twelve and our womens small should fit the next size up. This weekend, I finally took a break from everything else I was working on to make a few. I needed to clear my head and to keep from going crazy and getting to create a few new items was so much fun. My mom is also going to introduce a line of onesies and tanks that coordinate with the tutus. We get so many requests for them so it will be nice to finally have something to offer. They will be coming out on our Etsy website later this week.

Anyway, here are a few of the tanks I have been working on along with a few coordinating women's tanks. I plan on listing them either towards the end of this week or the beginning of next and plan on doing them in a variety of colors. The pinks and ivorys are the only ones I have photographed so far.

And here is one of the onesie styles my mom is working on:
The adorable little Annette Onesie which will come in several different colors to coordinate with some of our most popular tutus, or just to purchase on their own as well!
And here is the Prima Ballerina Onesie which can be done to coordinate with any and all of our tutus!

Don't forget to keep checking back as we will be hosting our Big Give-Away in just a couple more days!!!!!!

Busch Gardens

We took Miss Lillabel to Busch Gardens yesterday for the first time and to say that she loved it would be an understatement! She was completely enthralled by everything and had an absolute blast. Jon and I really enjoyed it, as well, and we can't wait to take her back! Plus, she was so exhausted she slept until 10:30 this morning! Can't beat that! I should bring her there every day. I got half a days worth of stuff done before she even woke up. Haha!

She rode the real carousel but none of those photos came out very well. She loved this little one, too, that was all on it's own.

Excited to go on another ride! There were actually several there that she could go on, which we were quite surprised by!

The Darling Stella Marie

One of the things that has been a most wonderful surprise to us since starting Dear Lillie, is all of the friendships that we have made with women all over the country. I know it may sound silly, (well, actually if you are reading this blog then you probably understand completely), but I feel like we have come to know several different women quite well over these past several months and I would certainly consider them my friends. I feel honored to know so many of these creative moms who are so thoughtful and encouraging. (It's also nice because in our family we are all such home-bodies we get to meet all these wonderful people and never have to leave the house - haha!)

One of these women is Jennifer Anderson-Wiggins. She is one of our favorite customers and I have gotten to know her really well over these past several months. I am sure a few of you know her. She is the sweetest woman with the four most beautiful children I have ever seen!

I have been looking for a pair of cowboy boots for Lillie. Jon had an adorable pair from when he was little and I thought it would be so cute for her to wear his old ones but they no longer exist so we started hunting for a new pair. Jennifer's daughter, Stella Marie, has an adorable looking pair that I had seen in some photos. I loved that they were so real looking and not cheesy like most of the ones I had been finding online. When I asked Jenn where she found them, she had told me it was as a local place out where she lives on the west coast and she wasn't sure if they sold them online. She actually offered to pick them up for me and mail them to me! How sweet is that? And she has four kids! Can you imagine standing in line at the post office with four little ones to mail a pair of cowboy boots to someone you have never met? I was so touched by her offering to do that. Fortunately, she was able to find the name brand and after quite a bit of hunting I was able to find a pair online that were identical. I cannot wait to get them!

A few weeks ago Jenn asked us if we could make her daughter a hair clip in the same style as our Melanie Hamilton line of items that Jamie makes. Jamie made her a pink and purple one and Jenn sent us some photographs she took of Stella Marie wearing them for us to use when we start selling these. We will soon be offering these in our Etsy shop and eventually on http://www.dearlillie.com/ as well. We will be offering them in a small, medium and large. The one Stella Marie is wearing is the large.

Anyway, here are two of the beautiful photographs she took:
Isn't she just the cutest thing you ever saw?
Oh, and the dress she is wearing is by The Handmaiden's Cottage. I am dying to get Lillie one! It is so beautiful!

And here are all of the Wiggins children (I stole this pic from her blog).
And the whole Wiggins family:

Dreamy Whites

So, I thought it was about time to share another one of my favorite blogs with you all. It is perfect timing to share this blog with you because they are hosting an awesome giveaway right now. The blog is Dreamy Whites and it is by a lovely woman named Maria. She is a stay-at-home mom of five kids and she has the most fabulous taste and takes the most beautiful photographs. You definitely need to go check it out! Here are some of photos of her home. Aren't they just gorgeous?????

Also, she is hosting a
giveaway sponsored by Minted.com for one set of 50 free personalized stationary cards.

And don't forget to enter our giveaway where the winner gets to choose between these two clutches:

Also, I just wanted to thank you all for your prayers. Our Uncle Bob had fallen down a flight of stairs in his home on Friday and broke his neck, nose, leg, and several other bones as well as suffering from a great deal of blood loss due to a gash on his head and there was also some bleeding on his brain. As he is in his 80's this was all especially frightening. Miraculously, though, he is doing so much better after just a few days that they actually let him go home from the hospital yesterday. He, of course, will have to have 24 hour care, but it is just so wonderful and such an answer to prayer that he is on the road to recovery!

A Quick Update

Hello, everyone! Sorry, I have gone a bit MIA this past week or so. I had my sister Jamie in town and then my parents came to visit! It was so wonderful having everyone here! I wish they lived closer! I hate that Lillie doesn't get to see them every day. She absolutely loves them and I know misses them terribly now that they are gone. She has had a blast the last 24 hours with my sister, Dana, who was babysitting her, though. It is nice that at least one family member lives close by. As some of you have noticed, we put our Etsy shop on vacation Friday. We have been so swamped and were starting to get backed up with orders so we did that so we could catch up a bit. Then we had a bit of a family emergency. Our Uncle Bob, who is like a grandfather to us, had a terrible accident and was rushed to the hospital. My parents actually had to leave us early and race home. I may be taking a trip up there with Lillie on Monday once we know more about how he is doing. If I don't, then we will be reopening our shop tomorrow (Sunday). If I do, then we won't be reopening our shop until Tuesday. Anyway, I just wanted to share that with you all, as I know that so many of you wonderful women that I have met through Dear Lillie and blogging are Christians and we would appreciate all of your prayers for our dear Uncle Bob! And I apologize to all of you who I haven't had time to e-mail or convo back. I promise as soon as things settle back down I will get back to you!

On a lighter note, here are a couple of pictures from the past week or so. I hope to get back to more regular blogging sometime this week!

We put Lillian in some of our newest tutus and brought her down to Colonial Williamsburg to photograph them. Here are two of those pictures. I will share more of them on another post.

And here she is reading with my mom, "Moosie"...two little pink snugglebugs!

And here she is with my dad, "Papa Moose" in Colonial Williamsburg (Yes, we pretty much go there every day, sometimes twice a day - haha)

Another Give-Away!!!!

So, for this give-away in honor of hitting the 100 follower mark the lucky winner is going to get their choice of either the Gatsby Clutch or the Estella Clutch! Just recently my sister Jamie started adding clutches to our Dear Lillie collection and I ADORE the Gatsby Clutch. I love the rich color and how elegant it looks; and I love the touch of fun and whimsy that the feathers add! She has a few other style clutches (check out the Melanie Hamilton style - it is another one of my favorites!) that you can find on our Etsy site and we also plan on adding some other style purses and totes to go along with our clutches.

The Gatsby in Espresso

The Estella in Cafe on Espress
So, how can you win one of these?

It is simple:
1) Make a comment letting us know which clutch you would like to win on this post - 1 Entry (please limit to just one comment per day, you can comment each day, though, if you would like)

2) Mention this giveaway with a link on your Facebook page or Tweet about it: 1 Entry (in order for it to count as an entry, please write "Facebook" or "Twitter" as its own comment in the comment section)

3) Become a follower - 2 Entries (in order for it to count as an entry, please write "follower" as its own comment in the comment section, and make sure to do it two times so it will count as two extra entries for you, or if you are already a follower, make sure to write "follower" also as a comment two times)

4) Mention this giveaway on your own blog and include a photo of one of the clutches and link to our giveaway, - 2 Entries (Again for this to count make sure to write "blog" two different times as comments and include a link to your blog.)

In case you are wondering why in the world you have to comment each time you blog or tweet about it or become a follower, it is because we use the number of comments to plug into the random number generator and that is how we know what number to plug in and who matches up with it - hope that makes sense.

Also, if you have a blocked blogger profile please leave your e-mail address when you enter so that we can contact you. For everyone with an open profile or who we know, then you don't need to worry about that part.

Good luck to you all and we will announce the winner on April 23rd!

I did the random number thing and was so excited to see a low number. As I started scrolling down and counting I started to laugh, because I think the winner of this dress is going to be very excited that she won! Congratulations to Jenni Roseland! I hope that you will love your dress!

Send us an e-mail at dearlillie@hotmail.com and let us know the color-way and size that you would like as well as your shipping address!

And here are a few pics from this past week. My sister Jamie, who was visiting from NH, and I took Lillie to the Yorktown beach where she had a blast! She LOVED the water (which was FREEZING - yuck!) It was so much fun watching her play and I can't wait to take her back again!

And here she is in an adorable hoodie we got from Amy at Evy's Tree
