Jamie's Nursery Rhyme Themed Baby Shower Part 2

Here is the other table setup we did for Jamie's shower. (You can see the first table setup in our last blog post here and if you scroll to the bottom of this post you can see how they both looked together in the room.) The focal point for this table was the chalkboard. Jamie's husband, Josh, built this one for me the same way I built the one in our dining room. You can see the tutorial for it here. This time I painted it in Ashley Gray instead of staining it and then had some fun adding part of a nursery rhyme to it.

Here is the left side of the table:

We dipped pretzels into white chocolate that we tinted to a grayish purple color and added some white sprinkles and for the cream cheese frosted cupcakes we added some Little Bo Peep silhouettes (we will be selling those in our shop in the very near future). On the cupcakes on the other side of the cake we added little lamb silhouettes.

And here is the right side of the table:

In case you hadn't noticed yet, =) I LOVE the striped straws by the TomKat Studio. I have purchased them now in brown, pink, gray and light purple.  I got the little plant holder this summer in Peterborough, NH at a store called Collections at Laurel and Grove and for the party is made a great little holder for the plastic spoons and forks as well as white chocolate covered pretzels, straws and later for pens for people to use when filling out some of the cards we had laid around (I'll post more about that in a minute).

We got all of the flowers from a shop called Country Fresh Flowers and Goods. They were all gorgeous!

Along with the Storytime and Baby Druke Cards (the downloadable ones say Baby Guesses) we also had a Wishes for Baby card. We are now selling these as printables in a set of three. Along with lavender we are also offering them in blue, pink and brown!

Our pages we used for the banner and also the "Hickory dickory dock..." printout are now available to download and print as well! You can find all of the detailed photos of this table in our last post.

And here are a few pictures from the actual shower (like everyone in our family, Jamie gets embarrassed with everyone just watching her so she asked Lillie, Lola and Abby to help her open her gifts):

 Have a wonderful Tuesday!

  8. Ok, this is pretty much the cutest shower ever! Every single part of it is amazing... the flowers, the straws, the pretzels, the chalkboard with the lettering that is insanely well done, the kids, the "wish" cards, the banner, the baby's name, the big ole clock... even the sticks in the urn for god's sake! I've completely decided that ya'll are the cutest family in the world...

  14. Hi Jennifer - just an important note - I think you have someone posting as "anonymous" with spam messages and bad links.

Most importantly, the shower looked beautiful and elegant. I read your blog every single day and look forward to reading/seeing all of the beautiful entries.

    Thank you :)

    1. Thanks, Nicole! Yes, we have been getting a ton of spam the past few months. Most of it is overnight and we often wake up to at least 20 spam messages on the blog. As soon as he has a chance each day, Jason goes on and tries to delete them all but sometimes it's not before other people have to see them. Sorry =( Unfortunately there's not much we can do about it. =(

    1. Thank you, Jacqueline! No, this is my grandfather's sunroom. They get most of their clothes as gifts =) and most of them are from either Target or Gap and a few from Crewcuts. The dresses here are from my sister and she got them at Forever 21.

  30. This is gorgeous! I love everything about it but I have one question. Do you do the writing on the chalkboards free hand or is it a stencil or .............. how do you do it. It looks so perfect!

    ReplyDelete

    1. Thank you so much! I do all of my chalkboards freehand. For more complex ones like this one I tend to write it out on paper first to make sure the words will all fit and then I freehand it onto the chalkboard.

  32. I recently found your blog, and not only has it quickly become one of my favorites (You absolutely won me over with the "In Christ Alone" pillows.) but I am also a NH girl, currently living in Atlanta, who loves, loves seeing your gorgeous picures of home. Our first home was in Jaffrey, just one town over from Peterborough where you mentioned you shopped. (Have you ever ate at 12 Pine. Oh yum!) And ... if you bought your flowers in Walpole, I'm hope you've either had dinner or, at the very least, hot chocolate at *Burdicks. If you haven't, you must! *When our friends/family visit us, they know that they have to pay the standard admission fee into the State of Georgia which consists of one bag of Burdicks Milk Chocolate Cocoa mix. 1. Ahhhhh - Jaffrey! I've been there several times although I have not ever eaten at 12 Pine that. And I am afraid to say I have had far too many hot chocolate's and meals at Burdick's and the extra pounds to prove it - haha! Jon and I ate dinner there the night he proposed and we had our rehearsal dinner there as well.

  33. Please forgive the typos and grammatical erros I made in my last comment. I got a little overly excited by the NH connection and didn't read/review it before I clicked on Publish. Destiny

  34. Hi Jennifer, this is the first time that I am commenting on a post of yours but I must admit that I am a long time stalker of your blog and have an exact replica of Matt and Meredith's kitchen to prove it ;) I also adore the clothes you find for your girls. I have a 4 year old and am obsessed with the pink dresses that Lillie and Lola have here! I never knew that forever 21 has kids clothes! Unfortunately the one near me does not :( but yet again you've taught me something new! ~Lindsay

    1. Thanks! We hand drew the chalkboard sign, so there isn't any font being used. We do sell it as both a print (http://www.dearlillie.com/product/little-lamb-11x14-chalkboard-print) and a download (http://www.dearlillie.com/product/little-lamb-24x36-chalkboard-download) though.
