A Peek at Our New Outdoor Living Space

I am so excited to share a peak at our new outdoor living space with you all today! And then Sunday I will share more photos with more details. We are so excited to partner up with our sponsor, Wayfair for this project. We have this little space in our backyard that for the last couple of years we have thought would be a great spot to add a little seating area to and this year we decided to pull the trigger and create one out here. It has quickly turned into our favorite spot! We spend almost every evening out here now after dinner and Lola and I spend quite a bit of time sitting out her every afternoon as she snuggles up and reads to me.

The first thing we did was choose our seating. We loved the look and functionality of this Montclair Wicker Sofa and Montclair Wicker Chairs. We are absolutely thrilled with them and they blend in so nicely with the whole wooded area around us and go perfectly with the Felicia Outdoor Fireplace which is easily my favorite addition to the space! We have been using is almost every single night - it's so relaxing and peaceful sitting out here and the girls love making s'mores! And then we added some string lights. We went with this set for our little arched trellis and then we used a 100 bulb set for above the seating area. And for pillows we chose these Indoor-Outdoor Buffalo Check Pillows in the 20 by 20 size. I love the large size of the check!

We also added a rug from HomeGoods to help define the space while we decide what type of patio surface we'd like to put down here. And then some side tables that we also found at HomeGoods and we added our old coffee table to help add to the function. We'll share more images on Sunday!

Lillie's New Bedding

Yesterday we showed lots of photos of the new Beddy's Bedding that we added to Lola's room and today we thought we would share how it looks in Lillie's room! For Lillie's room we went with the Chic White and love how it looks. And Lillie LOVES how soft and cozy the minky fabric inside is and of course she loves how much easier is is to make her bed every morning. You really can't beat making your bed in less than a minute! And I love how tidy it looks!

Lillie has always loved cozy fabrics so she was so excited when she unzipped it to find this super soft minky fabric inside!

And here is the other side of her room.

You can see more of her room here.

Easy and Fun Bedding for Lola's Room

A couple of months ago we shared some photos of a little girl's room we worked on for some sweet little friend's of ours where we used Beddy's bedding on the beds. Well, Lola absolutely LOVED the idea of being able to zipper up her bed like a sleeping bag and was completely fascinated by it. Right around that time we were working on that room was also when we did the room swap here at our house and we added a daybed to Lola's room. The girls have been making their own beds every morning for a couple of years now, however, when we switched rooms and Lola went to a daybed and Lillie to a full sized bed they started having a harder time making them each morning. If you've ever tried to make a daybed you know it actually is kind of a pain in the neck. Ha! Seriously, though, making a daybed every morning is surprisingly rather frustrating. So I thought we would give the Beddy's bedding a try in her room and see if it helped. She picked out the pink color (it's called Vintage Blush II) and was quite excited when it arrived.

I have to admit, although I figured it was definitely going to help, I was quite surprised at what a HUGE difference it makes! She can literally make her bed now in less than a minute. She just zips it up and puts the pillows on the bed in her little lined up order she has and that's it! And I love that it looks so neat and tidy. She not only loves how easy it is, but she loves that it feels kind of like she is sleeping in a special sleeping bag. We've already washed it a couple of times and I love that when I go to put it back on the bed it's basically just like putting one fitted sheet on the bed and that's it - it's done. It is an investment but keep in mind it has everything you need and makes such a huge difference, especially for daybeds or bunkbeds! And speaking for my two girls, they absolutely love theirs!

Here it is all zippered up.

The zipper is nice and easy for a child to find and use.

I love how the pink one opens up to the cute little polka dots.

It also comes with a ruffled sham and a regular pillow case that matches the inside sheet:

Lola zips it up the whole way each morning but I also think it looks cute if you fold the to part over a little bit.

I still need to add something under the hoop, but I finally painted something on this blank canvas that was under the deer.

We found a few different bunny pictures she liked and kind of merged them into one. Ha!

And I painted this deer based off of an adorable deer painting we saw on Joss and Main that she loved but we wanted the deer to be pink. The Joss and Main one was much cuter but it was fun having this be pink to match her room.

We got this rhino head at Target. I think they are sold out now but they have plenty of other adorable ones. We got the Unicorn one for Lillie's room.

And that's it for Lola's room! We also got the bedding for Lillie's room and I will share those pictures tomorrow!
