Pilgrim Boy Pillow Covers and a Winner

I am excited to introduce the first new item in this year's Thanksgiving line. Last fall we created our give thanks pillows which we have continued to sell this year and introduced a new color, but we also thought it would be fun to add some more Thanksgiving related items. First, we have these pilgrim boy pillow covers. And next week we will be offering some pilgrim boy and pilgrim girl paper and vinyl cutouts as well as some downloadable menus, placecards and food labels!

I put them on the sofa first but then decided I liked them much better in the family room on these chairs:

Now it's time to announce the winner of our latest giveaway. However, before we do that we are disappointed to inform you all that the winner will not be receiving a prize from La Posh Style. We really try to avoid posting any negative remarks here, but unfortunately during this last giveaway it came to our attention La Posh Style had never given a prize to the winner of the giveaway that we had held for the this past summer. At first we hoped it was just a misunderstanding, but unfortunately after almost a week of trying to get a response from them it does not seem like they are going to be honoring their giveaway. We are so sad as we were fans of their pretty clothes and great prices but completely disappointed in the fact that they would run a "phantom" giveaway and get all of the links and traffic but never give away the actual prize promised. Because of this we have removed them as a sponsor and are sending out the last winner some things from our shop immediately (she has been incredibly kind and gracious)! If this ever happens (or has happened) to anyone else PLEASE let us know ASAP and we will make sure you are taken care of!

So, after that lovely disclaimer here is the latest winner (who unfortunately will not be getting anything from La Posh Style but we will most definitely be honoring the giveaway with a prize of our own!)

Just send us an e-mail and we will get you taken care of!

Thanks again and I do apologize to all of you about this La Posh Style giveaway. We had no idea there had been an issue with the last giveaway or we never would have hosted another one with them.

I hope you all are having a wonderful week!

  1. Sorry to hear about La Posh Style's failure to honor their giveaway :( it's always dissappointing to be let down by someone including a company. I sent you an email in regards to the giveaway.

p.s. your home looks lovely all decorated for fall. I'm loving the wheat stalks!

  4. Jennifer you handled the situation with incredible grace and class. Your post is well written. One word for LPS: Karma! On a much happier note, I am head over heels for your new Pilgrim Boy pillow covers and will be counting the days until the release of the pilgrim boy and pilgrim girl paper and vinyl cutouts as well as the downloadable menus, placecards and food labels! Your timeless designs are the perfect touch for any home. And I proudly display them in mine.

  7. Gulp.

    Wow, that's truly shameful.

Good for you for following through with your wares - which is so classy and honest and awesome of you - tell ya what, in most of our opinions YOUR wares is a much better winner anyway.

But they truly should be ashamed and I hope Blogland really sticks together as a unit of one and turns their back on poor business practices like that and shuns their business. That is SO uncool of them.

PS LOVE the pilgrim boy pillow and looking forward to seeing the girl one. Love your store.

    1. Thank you! I got them (I have a couple) at Pier one quite a few years ago. I am not sure they carry them anymore, though. =(

  12. What sweet pillows - I love how you work neutrals together and still keep it fresh and updated, with lots of textures. I'm really disappointed to hear about your experiences with La Posh - as a reader, when we read things like that it literally kills any desire to ever shop at that place of business. If they couldn't even be courteous enough to email you back, well, that says a lot. In this economy there's plenty of other places who WILL be kind and extend good business; apparently they can afford to allow their competition the upper hand :)
I'm really looking forward to seeing more of what you share in the future - I recently found your blog and I passed it along to my mom, who spent her entire day off (she's head of a homeschooling group, manages many dyslexic children's education and is SUPPOSED to be retired, but can't stop helping people - gotta love her!) pouring over your blog. She's had a hard time finding someone who really embodies 'her' style - she loves neutrals, but she's not 'old lady' in that sense - so it just tickled me that she loved your blog as much as I did. Thanks for making both of us smile :))
