I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We had a delicious meal with the team in Williamsburg (they did have the make your own cupcake station!) and then about an hour after eating began the journey to Winston-Salem for our game against Wake Forest. I think Lillie and Lola are going to grow up thinking Thanksgiving is some kind of basketball holiday.
Now that is is officially the start of the Christmas season I thought I would do a post with last year's Christmas decorations. And then starting tomorrow I will be posting photos of what we've started doing this year (and hopefully we will have a couple of new products ready this week as well!) and then I will have a full tour for you next week! I am excited because I moved some furniture around and the tree is in a new spot this year and I like the feel of this year's living room and dining room so much better!

But for today here are all of last year's decorations. Ignore the sun glare in many of the pictures. I had to take them all during nap time last year even though it was not the best time for taking pictures! =)
Here is our living room and dining room:
We have a few ruffled burlap stockings left in our shop!
And here are some shots of our Living Room and Dining Room at night.
And here is a project we did in the kitchen. (I haven't shot the rest
of the kitchen yet but hopefully will have time next week).
And here is our family room:
And here are a few shots of Lola's nursery:
And Lillie's room:
And our bedroom:
And here's our porch:
I hope you all are having a wonderful holiday weekend!
Spectacular!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty, I love all of it. I have a question...are your paperwhites real or faux? I love th look of paperwhites but hey smell so awful (and so strong). I am on the hunt for faux paperwhites but only if they look pretty real.
ReplyDeleteKim
Hey Kim! How are you? They are all faux. I found them several years ago at a little store in Williamsburg and thought they looked so real I snatched a whole bunch of them up and have been using them every year since! I've been keeping my eye out for some more faux ones this year and haven't had any luck with any that I thought looked real enough. I will let you know if I find any!
DeleteHow did you make the swag on the arch in your dining room? I love that!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I just placed five or six very small nails along the top of the arch and then just placed vines that I cut from the woods along them. Lillie and I loved it - it drove Jon crazy, though, because he was always bumping his head on it. =)
DeleteAbsolutely gorgeous! Sure wish you could come to my house and help me decorate!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty. I am moving in the calmer style of decor. Had Tuscan for the last 7 years... so slowly things are changing to a soft creamy white. I am so inspired by your home.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.
Cheers, Gee
All gorgeous! I look forward to seeing your decor this year =)
ReplyDeleteYour home is like a showroom floor! How do you ever keep your children from getting into things? You must have a basement for them to romp around in. Love looking at your blog.
ReplyDeleteThanks! And nope, no basement. We don't even have a playroom. =) We live in a relatively small townhouse so have to be creative with our toy storage and try to keep most of it put away when they girls aren't playing with things. When they are in the middle of playing legos or play-dough I assure you it can be quite the disaster here! =) As far as getting into the decorations they are pretty good about staying away from the things they aren't supposed to touch but I am pretty low-key about them playing with the non-breakable type things. They regularly have been rearranging the bottom branches of both trees in our house this year.
DeleteLove all the pictures ......so calming! Looking forward to this years shots!
ReplyDeleteWhat are the details on the grandfather clock in your dining room?? It's not listed on your list of items in the rooms.
ReplyDeleteIt is from a store called Savvy in Williamsburg, VA.
DeleteYour decorations last year were so spectacular - can't wait to see what you come up with this Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI love your fireplace....is it a facade? Or real? Around Christmas....I always wish we had a fireplace...do you sell a kit to make a Faux fireplace like you have? Or do you have any tips for making a mantle for stockings? I LOVE your home!! Wish my house had the look of your beautiful home!
ReplyDeleteThanks! It's just an old mantel that we found at a consignment shop and drilled to the wall. I am sure if you looked at some antique store or thrift shops or even salvage yards you could find something similar!
DeleteBreath taking! Taking a peek inside your home is magical! Everything is so warm & inviting. Cozy & elegant. I can't wait to see this years decorations and all your special touches. And new items for the shop... Ooo delight!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week!
It's always so beautiful! Where do you find your garland? It looks so fresh and bright, unlike the stuff they carry at most stores.
ReplyDeleteThanks! It is from a mix of places. The nicest greenery (shown in the dining room) is from Lynch Creek Farms. I also have some from Lowe's (above the curtain rod) and some fake garland on our mantel from a local store called Savvy. Most of the rest of the stuff is picked from the woods and kind of bundled to look like garland.
DeleteYour home is absolutely warm and delightful! I'll take Christmas past anyday and can't wait to see this year's styling!
ReplyDeleteSo refined and stylish! Christmas decorating does *not* have to sink into the world of tacky. Can't wait to see this year's photos!
ReplyDeleteIt looks so pretty Jen! I am looking forward to seeing what you do this year of course, but it can't be much prettier and more elegant than this looks~
ReplyDeleteBEAUTIFUL!! I love every single thing! Can't wait to see this years!

ReplyDeleteJust the inspiration I needed to actually open the Christmas bins that are filling up the dining room.... Your decorating and home ~ GORGEOUS!!!
ReplyDelete~ Violet
How does a house get this cute!!??? I'm in awe of how charming it all is, and still in love with that vine garland with lights... sigh, i'm so going to do that!
ReplyDeleteCindy
I have some cypress garland from Lowes, but it is drying out already. Do you have a trick for keeping it fresh all season?
ReplyDeleteIf you spray it daily with water it really helps! If you forget for a few days it will dry out fast! =( We were gone for a few days and then it's been so crazy since we got back that I got lazy with the spraying and much of mine is drying out too now. =(
