Christmas Table Setting on the Porch

Per Lillie's request we put a whole lot of red on our porch this year.  I thought I would show you the table setting today and then hopefully get the rest of the pictures watermarked and ready to go for tomorrow to show you the rest of the porch. Although it was a bit of a departure for me to go this bright with all of the red but seeing Lillie's excitement made it worth it!

I used pomegranate's, red ticking fabric, and our joy cutouts  for each place setting. Then I first tried some poinsettia's in my dough bowl but they were just too bright for me.

So, I switched to something simple and just used a few candles and some greenery I cut from the woods which I like so much better!

We also wanted to let you know we have a new sign now available in our shop

I hope you all have a wonderful week!

  1. Your porch is lovely, Jennifer. This year I too added some bright "merry" red to my home. I usually decorate more in coppers and browns with natural elements, but I couldn't resist bringing back some traditional Christmas color this season. Lillie had a good idea! Love the centerpiece. Happy Holidays to you and your family.

  5. I really love the centerpiece you did for the wood dough bowl. Where did you purchase it from? I have been looking for a similar one but can't seem to find one I like with a nice finish/patina.

    1. Thank you! It was a wedding gift from Jon's aunt and came from an antique store in South Carolina.

  9. I'm not a big lover of red either, but this year i've seen it paired with whites, and greens and i've actually really liked it. I think the touches you used on your porch look wonderful, i especially love the pomegranates, with the ticking napkins! It looks festive and pretty as anything, and i bet you made Lillie very happy!
