Our Parents' Fall Guest Bedroom

This is our parents' guest room, which I have never actually stayed in, because when you live next door to your parents, you don't find you ever have a need to stay overnight! (Maybe that's why they were excited about becoming neighbors...) If some things look familiar, it's either because my mom and I own a lot of the same items (including clothes!) or because I brought a few of my own things down to take photos.

Our sister Dana knits these beautiful throw blankets - they are both pretty and functional, as they are very thick and cozy!

These beds originally belonged to our great Uncle Bob:

This painting also belonged to Uncle Bob, which he gave it to our mom years ago:

It is so hard to get this little spot right where you walk into the bedroom because it's set in a little corner and is always dark, and it just so happened to be overcast as it seems to be alot lately on Tuesdays! :) (Tuesdays are my picture-taking day.)

  1. So sweet and cozy and inviting. I love a guest room with two twin beds. Gives you more choices for guests when they stay. Love the way the light comes in this pretty room too.

  2. Love the addition of the blues and the yellow leaves that brighten up the otherwise neutral palette and the browns of the hat and tote and bags which add some warmth. Looks cozy!

  3. I absolutely the painting. Do you know the name of the artist or did your uncle paint it himself?
