I've been planning on making something for my necklaces for ages now, and just finally got around to actually making it earlier this week. Once I got it finished and hung in our bathroom I quickly remembered why I have only ever photographed our master bathroom once and it was almost two and a half years ago! We have zero natural light in there (not a single window of any kind - ugh!) and it's pretty cramped so it is nearly impossible to get decent shots in there. I have a feeling I won't be ever photographing anything in there again. =) Anyway, for now I thought I would show you the jewelry holder in it's new home and then as soon as I have time I will get the tutorial for it written.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Halloween! Lillie was a farmer and Lola was a pig. Lola refused to wear her big hat, though, so it's kind of hard to tell. Unfortunately, I didn't get any good photos but here they are at the Shaver's house after they had finished Trick-or-Treating.
Also we have restocked several items including our 12 by 20 silent night pillows:
Happy November!
Hi Jennifer! Such a beautiful, beautiful blog. And such lovely girls!! Random question...but, what is the name of the carpet that shows on your steps in today's post? I love it! Thanks so much. So excited I discovered your blog : )

Thank you, Lauren! That photo was not taken at our home so I am not certain the name of the carpet. Sorry!
DeleteI love it. I can't wait for the tutorial.
ReplyDeletewell I think it looks great. Love the jewellry holder, and your bathroom, and the little sneak peek into your bedroom! Mine is not that pretty ( and probably clean.....new baby stuff everywhere!)
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful. I love the subtle chevron pattern. Keep the great ideas coming!
ReplyDeleteLove your blog. I check it every day! Your girls are the cutest most precious little sweeties. Just wanted to share a link with you of a Polyvore set made by a friend. I think you will love it! http://www.polyvore.com/baby_couture/set?id=62376737
ReplyDeleteHugs~ Saralee
PS . . . The set is all about Lillie.
DeleteI checked it out - what a beautiful set. I am in love with that dress from Kohl's after following that link and might get it for Lillie and Lola for Christmas. Thank you so much for sharing. I tried to e-mail you back but it went to the noreply@blogger.com. =(
DeleteI desperately need a pretty way to display my jewelry, this looks perfect! I just adore their costumes this year :) My little one opted for Strawberry Shortcake after I showed her the photo of your girls in theirs. You'll have to tell them they're little trendsetters!
ReplyDeleteHaha! That's funny. I bet she was an adorable Strawberry Shortcake!
DeleteJenni, your bathroom may be small, but you've made it beautiful! I'll look forward to the tutorial on the jewelry holder. I need something like that--my necklaces tend to end up tangled in a drawer.
ReplyDeleteThe girls look adorable in their costumes--Lillie in overalls is just too cute! And Lola must have been the most cuddly little piggy ever. :)
Thank you, Richella! And that's how all my necklaces always were. I often gave up trying to untangle them and didn't bother putting one on. I kept some hanging on my door handle in my closet but that drove me crazy every time I opened and closed the door and Lillie and Lola were always taking them all off! =)

Love the details and the drummer boy pillow :) Kristin
ReplyDeleteSUPER CUTE!!! (The jewelry holder and costumes: ) Can't wait for the tutorial - I am working on a similar project and I know that I am completely over-thinking it, since there are so many ways to create memo boards! No wonder it takes me so long to finish my projects - I get caught up in all the little details!!!

Jewelry holder - great idea, very clever!
ReplyDeleteBathroom = gorgeous!
Your beautiful children = adorable in their Halloween get-up!
Have a wonderful weekend.
Wow. Your site is truly an answer to my prayer. We moved into our new home last spring, knowing that it was a total fixer. We spent the summer building our new shop in the back yard, while I struggled with a plan for the kitchen. After waiting and multiple frustrations and 'writer's block for design', I was ready to live in the mess of remodeling for the rest of my life. Then,I stumbled onto your blog. The floorplan of your living area will fit perfectly into what I can make ours to be. Your style and design ideas are something I can do. And, your home is beautiful...it makes me realize that mine can be, too. I really wanted to have the mess done for the holidays, and I believe that I can. Thank you, thank you, for loving your home enough to create this blog. You have gotten me back on track.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your comment, Carol! It made my day! Good luck with your home - it sounds like quite the task, but a fun one!
DeleteHi Jennifer,
ReplyDeleteI have read and loved your blog for quite a while! Your home, styling and photography makes your blog one of my very favorites. I always hesitate to ask source questions on a blog because I realize how busy all of us bloggers are and know the pressure of keeping up with emails/questions. But I just can't help myself this time...where did you get your make up brushes pictured on the tray? Or did you make them yourself adding vintage silverware handles? They are so beautiful and unique! Sorry to be one of the million source emails you probably have to answer (or Jason haha!) Have a great day!
Courtney
Please don't ever feel badly about asking a question, Courtney! And yes, Jason does write the majority of the e-mails we get that have to do with our website but I try to write as many of the blog ones as I can. Although it drives Jason crazy because it takes me much longer than him to respond. =) The makeup brushes were a wedding gift from my mother-in-law and her two sisters. I think they got them at a little gift shop up in Indiana but I am not positive. I will try to remember to ask when I talk to them next but my memory is not the greatest. =)
DeleteI hope you have a blessed rest of the week and a beautiful Christmas!
This is a very nice blog. Bathroom decor and bathroom designing is a subtle art which includes the correct mix of colors, shades, textures, lighting etc..

How deep is your vanity/counter? I love your bathroom! It makes me feel like so much more is possible in our own bathroom! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! I am not sure how deep it was and we don't live there anymore so I can't measure it for you. =(
DeleteHave a blessed week!
Warmly,
Jenni
