A Chandelier for Our Dining Room

Although our dining room isn't finished yet, it's coming together. I haven't decided for sure on a wallpaper yet but I've got it narrowed down to two...or so I think. Ha! However, we have found a chandelier and I absolutely positively LOVE it! I was worried I wasn't going to be able to find one I loved as much as the one we used in our last dining room. In fact, I pondered just getting that same one but then I found this one from our sponsor, Candelabra Inc. and I love it every bit as much! Maybe even more!  I love the way it has both a rustic, yet still elegant feel to it. I've actually pondered getting a second one for another spot in our house because I love it so much.

We also added two more of the round back chairs so we could have a full set for the table and moved the chairs from the kitchen into here at the ends of the table because the window seat where they were is going to be built this week (yay!) so we don't need them in there anymore.

It's hard to photograph the chandelier from this angle but I love the way it looks against the windows.

Here's a view of the dining room from the kitchen:

And here it is from the living room:

These chairs aren't going to stay in here. They are either going out on our porch or up in our bonus room but until I find some comfy wingback chairs for here they will stay in here to add some seating.

You can see the other side of our living room here in this post.

And then here are some wider shots of the dining room:

Dining Room:

Wall Color - Gravel Gray by Benjamin Moore in Eggshell
Trim - Existing but planning on painting it Simply White eventually

Sideboard - Found at a Consingment Shop and Painted in Paris Gray (I think...it's been a few years)

White Beaded Dishes - Milford Square Dishes from Birch Lane
Paperwhites  - Savvy Home and Garden several years ago (they are now closed)

Living Room:

Wall Color - Blue Note in Eggshell by Benjamin Moore

Doors -  Mopboard Black
Vase - The Arrow's Nest
Clock - Savvy 5 years ago
Sofa - Barbara Hartman Interiors
Square Pillows - HomeGoods

Sconces - Existing
Painting above fireplace - HomeGoods
Greenery - Savvy Home and Garden
Pheasants - antique, gift

Kitchen cabinet color we think is Lampblack by Benjamin Moore.

  1. Your living and dining room are absolutely beautiful. I always loved the light you had in your last house and the dining room. It was my favorite but I think I like this one even better if that's possible. Is it just the light or does the Gravel Gray paint look blue here. Really love what you've done so far. Amazing! I like these chairs and the W. Market end chairs in here . I think both look great. I like this mirror too. Can't wait to try this paint and living room one. Everything is just gorgeous in this house.

    1. Thanks, Donna! I checked with Jenni about the paint color and she actually believes it may have been mixed incorrectly at the store, as it does appear considerably more blue than it should.

  4. Did you refinish your hardwoods before moving in? If so, would love to know the stain color... This is exactly the look in going for!

    1. Hi! It was the previous owner who had the floors refinished, so unfortunately Jenni doesn't have any of the stain information--sorry!
