I just got a new camera last week and finally got a chance to start playing around with it. I am working on a post with lots of photos I took using it for later this week but thought I would pop in with a few "outtakes" and wish you all a happy weekend! I'll be back tomorrow evening with a full post on how to cheat and make a fancy looking dessert without all the work! I have all of the photos done and loaded I just need to add the text. I also am working on two photography posts - one that answers the questions we get the most e-mails about and the other a photoshop tutorial and I've also got some decorating ones in the works. Hopefully I can get back on track with blogging this week! =)

LOVE your pictures, Jenni! Lillie is such a beautiful girl and you do such an amazing job capturing the moments!
ReplyDeletehow do you photomark all your pictures?
ReplyDeleteI save the text as a PNG file in Photoshop and then just lay it over the photo I want to watermark.
DeleteBeautiful! I'm really looking forward to your photography tips!
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful! You have an amazing eye & adorebale model. Enjoy the rest of your weekend! And your new camera! Jen
ReplyDeleteBeautiful as always Jennifer!! Enjoy your weekend:)
ReplyDeleteWhat camera do you now use? I need a new camera and love your photos.
ReplyDeleteMy old camera is a Nikon D3000 which I have been extremely happy with and will continue to still use. It is an entry level DSLR. My new one is a D700 and is a higher end one.
DeleteJust gorgeous, you didn't even NEED a new camera, haha - your pics are always AWESOME!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful in both color and in b/w. Can't wait for the tutorials!
ReplyDeleteWhat do you use to edit your pictures?
ReplyDeletePhotoshop CS5
DeleteOh these are just gorgeous! I can't wait to see all the wonderful things your new camera can do. :)
ReplyDeleteFor "outtakes" these are STUNNING! Such sweet images to give me a little smile this morning. Thank you :-) - As an aside, wondering if you're interested in selling your old camera? I'm in the market... - Hope your weekend has been fabulous so far!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kristin! As of right now I am planning on keeping it. It's much lighter than my new one so it's easier to carry around when I am just having fun chasing the girls around. I will probably just use the new one for more planned/orchestrated photo shoots. I purchased my new one on Ebay. Maybe you could try looking there? I was pleasantly surprised with the options and the deal I got.
DeleteThese are your outtakes?! They sure look pretty. What kind of camera did you get? Happy Sunday to you :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! I got a D700 on Ebay. Am so excited about it. Still using my lenses from my D3000 though which is not so fun. Hoping to save up enough to be able to buy a proper lens for it this winter!
DeleteHow do you sign your pictures & how did you make your signature at end if your post?
ReplyDeleteBy saving the text as a PNG file in Photoshop.

DeleteHave you seen a huge improvement with the new camera in your outdoor/natural light shots? I imagine the faster shutter speed will be great for indoor shots. I'd be curious to hear your thoughts on the improvements you get? I'm currently going through a similar debate. I'm pretty happy with the camera for natural light shots. Trying to decide whether to upgrade, or whether to invest in an external flash and new lenses instead.
ReplyDeleteP.S. Shouldn't all Nikon lenses be compatible?
So far I am really really happy with it but I've only used it three times. My two old lenses fit on my new camera but they are DX lenses and I need FX lenses.
