Lillie's Pink Cinderella Party and Some New Products

To celebrate Lillian Annabel's third birthday (which is actually this Thursday, but we celebrated it over Thanksgiving because my family was in town) we threw a little pink Cinderella themed party per the birthday girl's request. Just like last year I was able to spend around $50 for all of the decorations (not counting the food). Here are tons and tons of photos:

Here is our little princess. My mom made her a beautiful princess skirt and gave her some Cinderella gloves and Lillie and I made the crown.

I got these carriage hang tags from The Porcelain Rose on Etsy.

That is the original Grimm Brother's Cinderella story written out.

Lillie and I had lots of fun adding glitter to little glass slippers cut out of pale gray cardstock.

I also got these dress hang tags from The Porcelain Rose on Etsy.

We made a little banner out of silhouettes of Cinderella strung together.

We made a little paper cake using sheets of scrapbook paper and good ol' printer paper.

I think one of my favorite things was the huge "L" that we made from cupcake liners although it took FOREVER! I was torn between making a "3" or an "L" but now am so glad I decided on an "L" because now I can use it again for Lola.

I got five new tissue paper poms from Fiesta Pom Pom on Etsy.

When I was younger I had an American Girl doll named Felicity. A month or so ago I sent it back to the American Girl Doll Hospital where they scrubbed her and washed and smoothed back out her hair and made her good as new and then we gave her to Lillie for her birthday. I think I was even more excited than Lillie. Haha!

I also wanted to let you all know we have a new pillow cover available in our shop this morning:

And our very last batch of Silent Night/Holy Night sets in black this season are now available. We won't have time to restock them again this year, although we will be offering them in red later this week.

And don't forget!
Today is the last day to get
30% off all of our women's and children's thermals and sweatshirts
by using the code DISCOUNT30 and that includes our brand new Hope is the Thing with Feathers thermal!

We got most of the downstairs decked out for Christmas last night. I can't wait to show you all once I get everything finished and photographed!
I hope you all have a fabulous Monday!

I bet Lillie might have said this was a dream come true as well on her special occasion. I love the ideas you came up with here. How wonderful is the arch covered in grapevine or twigs with lights? Will that be staying for Christmas, it is wonderful.

I would also like to know how you did your twig archway. I have already thought of a spot in my home that this would look great.

Thanks for sharing your wonderful creativity with your readers.

  25. Thanks so much, everybody!!!

Donna - I got the bird at Michael's this spring I think. It was in the clearance section and was only a couple of dollars so I doubt they still have them.

Esme - I just went out to the woods and cut a bunch of vines, and then put 5 or 6 long skinny nails in the wall (I left them sticking out about an inch), and then just hung/balanced the vines on the nails.

  26. Oh, Jenni, what a beautiful party! I love the cute little mice, and the white pumpkin was absolutely genius.

  29. WOW!! I'd made my peace with the fact that I have a little BOY instead of a pretty little girl... UNTIL NOW! This is the most beautiful, precious party!!! Can someone suggest something equally precious for a boy?

Or better yet, Jennifer, please have a boy so we Dude Mom's can copy off you :)

  30. I love this! It's so pretty! Where did you get the pink plates and the white ones with the lacy edge? Thanks so much for sharing!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Thanks so much!!!

Halliday's - I got both of the plate sets at Pier 1. I got the pink ones two years ago for Lillie's first birthday party and the white ones this spring.

  32. Ohhhh my goodness!!! Incredible party!! Every details is amazing!! love it!

  33. Beautiful party, as always. But I have a feeling that if it was really up to Lillie there would have been a big ugly Dora cake or something. This is clearly an adult's version of a cinderella party.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I'm drooling!!! :o) It's all so breathtaking!

    ReplyDelete
  35. Thanks!!!

Hannah - Believe it or not, Lillie actually picked the theme herself. I had planned on doing something entirely different because we had done a pink party for her first birthday. Because we are on a tight budget, I had to use a lot of things that we already had (dishes, serving pieces, ect.). That does give it a bit more of a grown up feel than I normally would have planned for, but certainly does save a lot of money over buying all sorts of plates, cups, and decorations at a party store. The good news is Lillie absolutely loved it, and several times said "This is the best party of my whole life!" She was so upset when we took everything down today :(

    ReplyDelete
  36. This is such a thoughtful and well done party. Thank you for sharing! I was wondering how you did the cinderella/other silhouettes? Sorry if you already mentioned it and I didn't see it.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Thanks, Kylee! I drew the silhouettes based off of images I found online and then printed them out with my silhouette machine on cardstock and vinyl (I have the SilhouetteSD model).

    ReplyDelete
  38. Love every piece of your idea!!! Your little one is a gem :) May I ask how you made the crown? and where did you buy it? also where did you get dotted plates? :) they are so pretty

  39. Thanks Inna!

You can find all of the information about the crown here: http://dearlillieblog.blogspot.com/2011/11/crown-sale-and-canvas-giveaway.html

The plates are from the Emma Collection at Potter Barn, and the we added some vinyl silouettes.

  51. I know this is an older post but I'm just now finding the time to explore some of the blogs I've been following. I have to say I think this is one of the most lovely Cinderella parties I've ever seen. It helps that the backdrop is your beautiful home. I'm in my 40's and I want a Cinderella party too....LOL!

    Replies
    1. Haha - I have no idea how to do anything but the decorating either! We just had my family at the party so we didn't have to do a whole lot to entertain them. =) So far I haven't had to throw a "real" party yet but I am guessing that's not too far off - probably Lillie's next birthday! =)
