I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend! We shared a few photos of Jamie and Josh's new family room on Friday and today we thought we would share some more images of the space. I absolutely love how they have updated the space, yet still kept the blue tones that are so reminiscent of our Uncle Bob throughout the room. Their family room connects to their kitchen for one large space. They aren't quite finished making changes in there so we have a few shots of it but not any detailed ones.
Jamie spent days and days priming and painting all of the cabinets Dove White and the island a beautiful Hale Navy which ties in nicely with the existing tile and the trim on the counters. They will eventually be updating the counters and backsplash and flooring and adding some wood tones in, but it was fun to see how just painting the cabinets helped the overall feel of the room. The table was already in the room when they moved in and we stole the end chairs from their great room for now and the metal ones from the porch while they figure out the right chairs for the space. They have some in mind but they haven't pulled the trigger on anything yet.
We added a throw and a bunch of pillows from HomeGoods, Target and Pier 1 and moved the Minted artwork of St. Mary's Lake in here where it works perfectly with the rest of the room!
The Loloi rug is stunning and Jamie and Josh love how cozy it is for their little girls to play on every day. Some of my favorite elements in the room are the little table and chairs that Jamie found several years ago at a consignment shop and placed it where her little girls can use it every day and the rocking chair that was Josh's when he was a little boy.

ReplyDeleteLove it!!! Adore the hale navy!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely stunning. I am always so excited to see your posts. So many awe inspiring projects. I truly appreciate how you mix high end furnishings with consignment and Target brand things. One of my absolute favorite pieces is the family table that was left (I have been on a mission to find one and after seeing this one, it will most likely be a while longer!). Looking forward to the next!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty Jennifer, Love everything about it!
ReplyDeleteIf she is contemplating painting the walls a warmer blue gray... I recommend Benjamin Moore Titanium. I copied it from the blog for the love of a house and have it in my bedroom. I think it would be perfect in there!
ReplyDeleteI adore that kitchen table! Slightly broken-hearted to see that it wasn't one I could buy.
