A Little Recap of 2013!

I haven't spent much time on my computer this past week but that's because I've been busy working away on another room in our house. First, I got all of our Christmas decorations put away (except for the paperwhites and a couple of wreaths) and then I got to work priming and painting the trim in our other extra bedroom and started on the walls. I am hoping to finish up the walls today and then I can start decorating. I am really excited about the bedding from Ballard Design that is going in that room! And I am on the hunt for a couple of things to add in there but hopefully will have lots of pictures to share soon. And then I am starting on our master bedroom. And our new light fixture for our entryway arrived late yesterday afternoon so I am hoping to get it out of the box and maybe even hung this afternoon. So, it may be a few more days but I should have lots to share with you soon! In the meantime I thought it would do a little obligatory year end wrap up for 2013. I chose a few of my favorite posts/projects from this past year:

First up, last January we had Jamie's Baby Shower -You can find Part 1 here and Part 2 here:

One Last Christmas Decorating Post...

I am going to try to squeeze one last post in here before Christmas! I took these pictures a little while ago but then I had some trouble with my card reader and couldn't get them onto my computer.  Fortunately, it's all fixed now.  Anyway, here are some photos of our kitchen decorated for Christmas:

The hot chocolate mugs were an anniversary gift several years ago from Burdicks

I added some new words to this chalkboard platter from my mother-in-law:

Love these little trees from Trader Joe's:

This fancy ginger ale from Trader Joe's was over in the corner to the right of the stove but I couldn't get a good shot of it because it was so shadowy under the cabinets so I moved it here. I haven't actually tried it yet - I just love the way it's packaged. =)

I took this right after we first started getting Christmas cards in the mail. We've had to add more string and have quite a bit more than that so it doesn't look nearly so neat and tidy hanging from the curtain rod now. =)

"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given, and the government will be upon His shoulders.
And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."
Isaiah 9: 6
