Jane Austen Embroidery Hoops, Vinyl Stickers and Paper Cutouts, and some White Je T'aime Pillow

Today we are offering a couple of new items in our shop.
First, we have these Jane Austen embroidery hoops:

And also these fun vinyl stickers that can be used for a wide variety of things, including adding a fun touch to plates or other dishes. Although they are meant to be just decorative, I've actually put mine through the dishwasher several times. They are a inexpensive way to add a whimsical touch and  the great thing about them is when you get sick of them you can just peel them off!

We also have the paper cutouts you can see in these photos available in three different sizes.

You can see more photos of our Jane Austen party by clicking here.

And we also are excited to finally have our Je T'aime pillow covers now available in white!

Have a great weekend!

A New Wreath on the Mantel

Last week Meagan of Custom Wreaths by Meagan, was so sweet and sent me this beautiful wreath! I originally thought I would hang it over the mirror in our dining room but the proportions weren't quite right. Then I set it on our mantel and I loved how it looked there! It went perfectly with all of the other bright pops of green we have in their for summer. I would have liked to have had fresh flowers in the urn to really add to the light summery feel, but seeing how we were scheduled to head out of town just a few hours after I took these photos I didn't add any for these shots.

Meagan puts a lot of effort into each of her wreaths, which you can see by looking at how perfect the bow on this is. She even stuffed the bow to keep it holding it's shape while it was being shipped!

Thank you so much, Meagan!
You can see more of Meagan's work on her Facebok page!

Also, we have finally restocked our Jane Austen Silhouette Pillow Covers!

I hope you all are having a fabulous Wednesday!

A Simple Christmas Wreath and Several New Products

You might remember last spring when I made this wreath.

It had moss and a bird's nest which I loved for the spring and even summer months.

I was in a hurry this fall and needed a wreath so I just peeled off the hot glue that was holding the moss and bird's nest on it and decided to add some fall elements.

Once again, I was short on time so I peeled the autumn elements off and added some of the Christmas printouts I made for our tree (I will try to post some pictures of that either tomorrow or Wednesday) and a few fresh sprigs of greenery.  I thought it was just going to be a temporary idea but I actually kind of like it. Who would have thought that one wreath could get so many uses?

We have several new items available including our Reagan pillow in a new color-way
(We will have more of the other Reagans available soon. They are almost finished.)

And the rest of our kid's Christmas thermals and onesies are now available!
(All photos of these thermals are by the talented Jennifer of JLyn Photography)
We have these Drummer Boy Thermals:

And these Joy to the World ones as well:

It is also time to announce the winner of our Icing Designs Giveaway:

Congratulations! Someone from Icing Designs will contact you shortly!

And finally I wanted to tell you all about this amazing site for Jane Austen fans!

A really sweet woman named Laura contacted us asking if they could feature our Jane Austen Party. We were honored and quite excited to be on their site. Thank you, Laura!

I hope you all have a fabulous Monday!

Jane Austen Mini Book Tutorial and Free Download plus a JANE AUSTEN GIVEAWAY!

I didn't really get any good shots of these little books but they were a fun little addition to the party. We used them in the teacups at each setting and then hung them from a branch in the corner - I am disappointed I didn't get ANY usable shots of that! =(  I thought I would still show you all how we made them, though, because they were so easy and inexpensive. You just need cardstock, some old book pages, a stapler and some double-stick tape.

1) Just like for yesterday's banner tutorial, we ripped the pages out of the book and then used a ruler to tear them - this provides a softer look than cutting them.

2) We also did some of the ripping by hand to make it look a bit more authentic.

3.) Next we ripped them in half.

4). After that we stacked them up and folded them over.

5). Then we opened it back up and staples the pages together at the fold.

6). Then we printed out the covers on cardstock and cut them out. (You can download the covers a little further down in this post if  you want).

7) Then using a piece of double-stick tape we tape the book covers onto the book pages.

Once they are made have fun displaying them!

If you would like to use these fronts just click on the image below and it will open in a new window in a much larger size that you can print. Just cut along the lines and then fold each one in half!
I didn't do a tutorial for the bookmarks as they seem pretty self-explanatory but I did include a printable below that has the first paragraph from Sense and Sensibility on it. We printed that on cream cardstock and then added it to the bottom half of the bookmarks.

Just click on the picture below and it will open larger in a new window and then you can just download and print.
