Dani and Mike


I normally just take pictures of my family so I never have any reason to be nervous about them. A week or so ago, though, I took some photos for my cousin, Michael and his beautiful bride, Dani. It POURED the day of their wedding so they didn't many photos of the two of them that they were happy with. When Dani asked me a few months ago if I could take some of them when I was up here in New Hampshire this summer I got quite excited. That was until it was time to do it - I was so nervous all day. They were going to all the trouble of cleaning up the old Model T and Dani was getting her hair done and wearing her wedding gown. All of the sudden I got completely nervous that they had gone to all of this trouble and what if I messed up and didn't get any shots or they were all blurry or didn't get the lighting right.  In the end it was so much fun. They were so easy to take photos of. I am so jealous of how comfortable Dani was in front of the camera. She looked so beautiful. And Michael was such a good sport and put the hat on for us for a few shots. (We tried to get him to put on some suspenders too but couldn't come up with a good enough bribe to convince him it was worth it).

    Wow! I think that these are incredibly lovely... probably because they were taken separately from the wedding day. They look so much more relaxed than the typical wedding photos. This might be a great idea for other couples!

    Ohhhhh! What beautiful photographs!! I suspect though that, while you're a wonderful photographer, most of the success of this shoot had to do with...LOVE!! ^_^

    You did such an amazing job, but that's no surprise, you always do a wonderful job! And what a beautiful bride and handsome groom! I know what you mean about it being nerve-wracking when it's for someone else. You never feel good until you know that you did get the shots you were after! Great job, I'm sure they are thrilled!

    You did an amazing job. These are BEAUTIFUL!!! I am sure they are THRILLED! And I can see how comfortable they both seem in front of the camera. i wish I were too but I am not. You probably helped make them feel conformable thought oo.

    These turned out GREAT! I'm sure they are really happy with them. Come to think of it. Taking photos a while later means they were probably really realxed and enjoyed it even more than on their wedding and how great that a family member took them. Kudos!

    Beautiful pictures! My favorite is the one of their bare feet. I've seen several like that. I think it's such a cute idea. They must be very happy with them :)

    Oh my WORD. These are incredible. Wow. Please, please tell me how much you'd charge to take pictures of my family. I will drive to you. We live in Greenville, SC. How far away are you?     Girl, you should never ever be nervous or afraid. You have a gift! The pictures are just beautiful and truly capture the essence of love. With all that said... I am a total nervous Nellie to jump in and start my own career. You did it though and look at the beautiful results!
