Here is our little princess. My mom made her a beautiful princess skirt and gave her some Cinderella gloves and Lillie and I made the crown.
I got these carriage hang tags from The Porcelain Rose on Etsy.
That is the original Grimm Brother's Cinderella story written out.
Lillie and I had lots of fun adding glitter to little glass slippers cut out of pale gray cardstock.
I also got these dress hang tags from The Porcelain Rose on Etsy.
We made a little banner out of silhouettes of Cinderella strung together.
We made a little paper cake using sheets of scrapbook paper and good ol' printer paper.
I think one of my favorite things was the huge "L" that we made from cupcake liners although it took FOREVER! I was torn between making a "3" or an "L" but now am so glad I decided on an "L" because now I can use it again for Lola.
I got five new tissue paper poms from Fiesta Pom Pom on Etsy.
When I was younger I had an American Girl doll named Felicity. A month or so ago I sent it back to the American Girl Doll Hospital where they scrubbed her and washed and smoothed back out her hair and made her good as new and then we gave her to Lillie for her birthday. I think I was even more excited than Lillie. Haha!
I also wanted to let you all know we have a new pillow cover available in our shop this morning:
And our very last batch of Silent Night/Holy Night sets in black this season are now available. We won't have time to restock them again this year, although we will be offering them in red later this week.
And don't forget!
Today is the last day to get
30% off all of our women's and children's thermals and sweatshirts
by using the code DISCOUNT30 and that includes our brand new Hope is the Thing with Feathers thermal!
We got most of the downstairs decked out for Christmas last night. I can't wait to show you all once I get everything finished and photographed!
I hope you all have a fabulous Monday!
Happy birthday Lillie!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful party!!!

ReplyDeleteEverything and everyone looks beautiful! Love the decorations and pictures. They grow up so fast. Really like the grapevine and lights over the arch. Where did you find that little white bird with the crown? Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and birthday. You are so blessed you still have all your family close enough to see them .Donna
ReplyDeleteEverything you do is magical. I'm surprised the little bird doesn't sing and carry dresses in it's beak like in the movie.Donna
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely incredible!! And your attention to detail is amazing!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful party for Lillie!! So magical and beautiful! I love seeing all the details!! She is just beautiful, just like her mom! :) Happy Birthday to your sweet "Cinderella" girl!!

ReplyDeleteWow, I wish you were my mom when I was growing up!! This is incredible, it is playful yet elegant and oh so girlish!! I bet Lillie might have said this was a dream come true as well on her special occasion. I love the ideas you came up with here. How wonderful is the arch covered in grapevine or twigs with lights? Will that be staying for Christmas, it is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI just did a post showing your silent night/holy night pillows =) Check it out if you're interested...

Wow Jennifer! This is the sweetest Cinderella party I've seen yet. Stunning and beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see how you have decorated the downstairs for Christmas!
That is a party fit for a princess! And, what a beautiful princess Lillie is! I think that is the most magical party I have ever seen for a little girl. It is just beautiful, Jennifer. Each detail is amazing. Hope you all had a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteOUTSTANDING!
ReplyDeleteThat is, without a doubt, the cutest birthday party ever! I love that you made everything so adorable for so little money. And, oh the little mouse is so cute.
ReplyDeleteAlso, i'm totally crushing on your grapevine thingy over the entryway with the little white lights... it's wonderful!
Cindy
Love, Love, Love!!! Please share how you accomplished twig covered archway!!! What a beautiful party!!
ReplyDeleteYes, please. Love the twig archway. Happy Birthday princess!
DeleteHi Jennifer,
ReplyDeletei just had to comment! What a fantastic display of talent & love. Lilly is a lucky little one. Very creative with many wonderful ideas.
I would also like to know how you did your twig archway. I have already thought of a spot in my home that this would look great.
Thanks for sharing your wonderful creativity with your readers.
Florence
Oh my goodness! This is so delightful! My daughter will be turning 1 in February and I'm beginning to think of ideas and I'm SO inspired by your daughter's party! Thank you so much for sharing!!! I love the cream and pale pinks.... Your home is LOVELY too!
ReplyDeleteOh my, what a great idea to send your AG to the hospital first!! I have Samantha and Cashlen will get her someday but not yet.....last year she was a doll fanatic and got many waldorf dolls, but now she is a horse fanatic and would live on one if i'd let her, lol! beautiful party and hope yall are doing well!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, everybody!!!
ReplyDeleteDonna - I got the bird at Michael's this spring I think. It was in the clearance section and was only a couple of dollars so I doubt they still have them.
Esme - I just went out to the woods and cut a bunch of vines, and then put 5 or 6 long skinny nails in the wall (I left them sticking out about an inch), and then just hung/balanced the vines on the nails.
Oh, Jenni, what a beautiful party! I love the cute little mice, and the white pumpkin was absolutely genius.
ReplyDeletegreat job!!! absolutely breath-taking! :)
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! You did an amazing job with he party decor. Love all the fun paper cut outs and paper cake. And even though the L took forever, it turned out awesome! Makes me wish I was little again and could throw myself a princess themed party :)
ReplyDeleteWOW!! I'd made my peace with the fact that I have a little BOY instead of a pretty little girl... UNTIL NOW! This is the most beautiful, precious party!!! Can someone suggest something equally precious for a boy?
ReplyDeleteOr better yet, Jennifer, please have a boy so we Dude Mom's can copy off you :)
I love this! It's so pretty! Where did you get the pink plates and the white ones with the lacy edge? Thanks so much for sharing!
ReplyDeleteEVERYTHING i just so lovely!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much!!!
ReplyDeleteHalliday's - I got both of the plate sets at Pier 1. I got the pink ones two years ago for Lillie's first birthday party and the white ones this spring.
Ohhhh my goodness!!! Incredible party!! Every details is amazing!! love it!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful party, as always. But I have a feeling that if it was really up to Lillie there would have been a big ugly Dora cake or something. This is clearly an adult's version of a cinderella party.
ReplyDeleteI'm drooling!!! :o) It's all so breathtaking!
ReplyDeleteThanks!!!
ReplyDeleteHannah - Believe it or not, Lillie actually picked the theme herself. I had planned on doing something entirely different because we had done a pink party for her first birthday. Because we are on a tight budget, I had to use a lot of things that we already had (dishes, serving pieces, ect.). That does give it a bit more of a grown up feel than I normally would have planned for, but certainly does save a lot of money over buying all sorts of plates, cups, and decorations at a party store. The good news is Lillie absolutely loved it, and several times said "This is the best party of my whole life!" She was so upset when we took everything down today :(
This is such a thoughtful and well done party. Thank you for sharing! I was wondering how you did the cinderella/other silhouettes? Sorry if you already mentioned it and I didn't see it.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kylee! I drew the silhouettes based off of images I found online and then printed them out with my silhouette machine on cardstock and vinyl (I have the SilhouetteSD model).
ReplyDeleteLove every piece of your idea!!! Your little one is a gem :) May I ask how you made the crown? and where did you buy it? also where did you get dotted plates? :) they are so pretty
ReplyDelete-inna
Thanks Inna!
ReplyDeleteYou can find all of the information about the crown here: http://dearlillieblog.blogspot.com/2011/11/crown-sale-and-canvas-giveaway.html
The plates are from the Emma Collection at Potter Barn, and the we added some vinyl silouettes.
Thank you Jennifer :)
ReplyDelete-inna
Do sell a birthday "kit" of the silhouettes? Or recommend somewhere to buy?
ReplyDeleteJordan Family - Unfortunately we don't currently offer anything like that, but we do plan on it this summer!
ReplyDeleteWhere did you get the mice silhouettes from? They are perfect!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I drew them based off an image I saw online, and then cut them with my silhouette machine.
DeleteDear Jennifer,
DeleteI am absolutely live your ideas and dedication, just wondering the paper cut you had
Can be done in any printing companies in richmond va.....
Thanks a million.....
Hema.
Thanks, Hema! We cut all of the silhouettes ourselves using a Silhouette Cameo, which can be found here: http://www.silhouetteamerica.com/?aff_id=cE:xitmLHSsOTQi81UuIiQ&source=Blog&ad_id=4
DeleteWhat a beautiful party and all the details were perfect! I can't believe how much you did and it all came together.
ReplyDeleteYou're definitely a party planner everyone wants.
Jody
This is amazing! May I ask if you can direct me to where to purchase those beautiful dishes with the pink silhouettes? They are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteHi - Jenni made all of the decorations for her daughter's party. We do sell a few different vinyl cutouts (http://www.dearlillie.com/category/decorative-cut-outs), although unfortunately we can't sell any of the Disney images.
DeleteThank you!
DeleteI will be 60 in March. I wan this party for myself :)
ReplyDeleteDo you happen to sell your Cinderella Silhouttes? If so, I'd love to get them for my daughter's party in Oct. Please email me at christingray@hotmail.com
ReplyDeleteThanks!
Beautiful pictures! I just love looking at your blog, so well done!!! Gorgeous baby girl ❤
ReplyDeleteOh wow! My Daughter Lily turns 1 next month and her theme is Cinderella too! I can't wait to use some of these wonderful ideas!
ReplyDeleteBEAUTIFUL!!! My 3 year old fell in love with Lillie's "princess dress"...where did you find the pretty leotard? You're house is amazing...not to mention the parties are straight from a magazine. Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sarah! We got the leotard at a little dance boutique in Williamsburg, VA. I am not sure of the name of it but it's on Richmond Road.
DeleteI know this is an older post but I'm just now finding the time to explore some of the blogs I've been following. I have to say I think this is one of the most lovely Cinderella parties I've ever seen. It helps that the backdrop is your beautiful home. I'm in my 40's and I want a Cinderella party too....LOL!
ReplyDeleteAsking questions are truly good thing if you are not understanding something fully, but this post provides fastidious understanding even.
ReplyDeleteHere is my web blog ... Work at home
I read this paragraph completely on the topic of the comparison of most up-to-date and preceding
ReplyDeletetechnologies, it's awesome article.
Look into my site ... youtube.com
just curious how did you entertain the guests? My daughter will be turning 5 and wants about 10 girls over...the decorating I can handle, its trying to figure out what to do with them once they are here!
ReplyDeleteHaha - I have no idea how to do anything but the decorating either! We just had my family at the party so we didn't have to do a whole lot to entertain them. =) So far I haven't had to throw a "real" party yet but I am guessing that's not too far off - probably Lillie's next birthday! =)
DeleteDoes your mom have a pattern of the skirt that she made lillie? It is perfect! I love it!
ReplyDeleteI am pretty sure she just kind of made it as she went =)...we aren't so good with patterns in our family - haha!
DeleteI am wondering if you used a cricut cartridge to cut the Cinderella, shoe, and mice silhouettes? Thanks so much!
ReplyDeleteI drew them all myself and then cut them out with my silhouette machine.
DeleteThis is such a beautiful party! I love the kind of vintage Cinderella themes! Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI'm in love with the cinderella garland! You are so talented.
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing party, fit for a beautiful Princess! I just found your blog, and am enamored with your style. Can you please tell me where the lighted twig garland came from? Have a blessed day...
ReplyDeleteThank you! I just went out to the woods and cut a bunch of vines, and then put 5 or 6 long skinny nails in the wall (I left them sticking out about an inch), and then just hung/balanced the vines on the nails.
DeleteThis decoration is very elegant and delicate, absolutely and simply beautiful. I was wondering, where did you get the grandfather clock? I am planning my daughter's Sweet Sixteen and I have been looking for a clock like this.
ReplyDeleteThanks,
Milly
Thanks, Milly! We got the clock from a store called Savvy in Williamsburg, Virginia.
DeleteLove this party!! I have searched the world over looking for something to resemble the dress and carriage tags. Do you have any ideas?
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful party for a beautiful little princess
