Last week Meagan of Custom Wreaths by Meagan, was so sweet and sent me this beautiful wreath! I originally thought I would hang it over the mirror in our dining room but the proportions weren't quite right. Then I set it on our mantel and I loved how it looked there! It went perfectly with all of the other bright pops of green we have in their for summer. I would have liked to have had fresh flowers in the urn to really add to the light summery feel, but seeing how we were scheduled to head out of town just a few hours after I took these photos I didn't add any for these shots.
Meagan puts a lot of effort into each of her wreaths, which you can see by looking at how perfect the bow on this is. She even stuffed the bow to keep it holding it's shape while it was being shipped!
Thank you so much, Meagan!

ReplyDeleteThe wreath is darling! And I love the old mirror too!!
ReplyDeleteI didn't notice that you said, but is the wreath made of dried boxwood?
Wishing you An Extraordinary Day, Jennifer!
Thanks! I think you will have to ask Meagan exactly what it is, but it isn't dried boxwood.
DeleteA perfect addition to an already perfect mantel. Just gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteLove this! Where did you find those adorable moss balls? I have been looking everywhere for those! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I purchased some of them at a local store here in Williamsburg and made the other ones.
DeleteHi Jennifer!
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to say how much I love your blog. So inspirational! I have a random question for you... do you have anything on your blog about decorating a mantel that has the t.v. mounted above it? It's surprisingly hard to find any good pictures online or any inspiration. Would love to get your input. :) Have a great day!!
Unfortunately, I don't have anything on the blog about that. Our TV is in our family room on a boring dresser like piece. Have you tried looking on pinterest for some ideas? I always find such great inspiration there!
DeleteHi Jennifer!
ReplyDeleteYour mantel is beautiful!!! You inspired me to find one for my home. After about a year I finally found one!!! So I was looking for some pointers from you!
It's not in too rough of shape but it needs to be painted , did you paint yours? If so do you remember The color?
Where did you find the wood that you have on the opening of the mantel? Is that wainscoting?
Lastly :how did you hang it up on your wall? Did you do it yourself/how/what did you use?
Thank you so much for all your help! You're home is beautiful and it has really inspired me to decorate my
Home with a touch of shabby chic!
Thanks! Mine was already white but I touched it up with some fresh white paint in a few spots. I don't remember the color - just kind of a generic white. I just used some beadboard from Lowe's to fill in the opening and painted it white to match. My father-in-law helped me screw the mantel into the wall so it would be very secure and it has worked great for four years now!
