Happy Friday! Today I thought I would share a couple of projects that we've been working on in the playroom. First here is a before and after of the progress we've made on the back stairway that leads up to the playroom area. We used Simply White on the stair treads and Just Peachy on the walls. We still need to add a runner but otherwise this area is done. We found the Eiffel Tower artwork at HomeGoods. The girls love it because it's bright pink covered in glitter. And I love that it echoes the wallpaper on the back wall of the playroom (I'll be sharing tons more playroom photos soon with all of those details). The other piece of art is just a framed piece of wallpaper. Eventually I will switch that out for something different but for now it works fine.
And up in the playroom here is a little side table we made over. I bought this table back when I was a sophomore in college (oh so many years ago - ahhhhh!) I got it at a used furniture store because it was quite inexpensive and I liked how heavy and well-made it was and the nice basic lines of the piece. Once we moved it into the playroom I figured it was time for another paint job. This time I used leftover Dove White and then spray-painted the knobs with some gold spray paint that I had from another project in the playroom. I had been looking for some fun knobs to replace these with but for now I like the gold - plus this whole paint job was free! The wallpaper is from Wallpaper Direct and the lamp shade is from Target. I got the standing lamp years and years ago at a consignment shop. Right now it's just tucked behind the end table to add some extra lighting in there but I've got my eye out for a fun lamp to go on the table to replace it with. My sister, Dana, got Lillie the piggy bank several years ago from Target, we made the pink crown a couple of years ago, the flower pot was from a little store in Peterborough, NH and the shoes are from Joyfolie! Don't forget they are offering our readers a 25% discount through Sunday.
Well, that's it for today. I'll have more playroom photos to share soon. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
Disclosure: I have received free products or value from HomeGoods in connection with my affiliation with Happy by Design.
