The Rest of Our RED Christmas Porch

Because I was doing the red for Lillie I went ahead and went for a fun look out on the porch this year. I used our red reindeer pillow and flanked it with two pillows that were on sale at Target. I covered my bolster pillows with some red ticking stripe fabric (I just rolled them and tied the ends so they would be easy to remove once Christmas is over) and added the blanket as well.

And here is the other side of the porch:

We've been working on some printed chalkboards to sell. Here is one we were practicing.

The proportions of the one we made looked better out there though:

We still have a few silent night signs left! They are on sale for just $7.95!

I hope you all have a blessed Tuesday.

  1. Girl - must have been a late night for you! I had a late meeting and when I get home from one, I always have to unwind a bit. I checked the blog, and these pics weren't yet on here, and I went to bed pretty late!! Beautiful as always!

  5. Oh, Jenni, everything looks so beautiful! Kudos to Lillie for requesting red--and to you for honoring her request! I know that's far out of your comfort zone, but it looks smashing. :)

  7. Question for you - we also have a pretty large screened-in porch. Does yours not get wet when it rains? Just curious if you worry about anything ruining due to moisture?

    1. So far we really haven't had any trouble with the rain and we've been here for about four and a half years. When we've had the hurricanes I have taken all of the pillows and bedding inside but other than that we really haven't had to do a whole lot to protect things.

  8. Also, do you freehand your chalkboards? Any lettering tips or is that your own handwriting?

    1. Yes, I do freehand my chalkboards. It's just my regular cursive and then I add some extra swirls and thicken some of the lines.

  10. Amazing how you combine white and red and still it doesn't look a bit too colourful. I love white in our home but tried red this christmas. It just didnät work out at all..perhaps harmony is created with that green.. Love your blog!

  13. It turned out beautiful, I love the pops of red! My children asked for me to do more red next year, and I think I will. With just a little bit of red added to neutrals, things still look peaceful and yet cheerful and festive at the same time. I love it.
    Merry Christmas!
