Silent Night, Holy Night Templates and Christmas Thermals Are In!

REVISED DECEMBER 18, 2011

Unfortunately over this holiday season we have discovered many instances were our free templates were being using by other shops across the internet. Many of these shops were using the templates featuring the scripted words with that I freehanded on items they were selling. Because of this, we have chosen to remove our free templates from this page. I really hate to do this, but unfortunately not everyone was willing to comply with what we thought was a fairly basic request that the templates just be used for personal use or gifts. We apologize to those who had hoped to use the templates for non-commercial purposes.

  7. Thank you for the font!! It's too bad about not going with the Nutcracker theme, since that meant I was thisclose to getting a free thermal! :-)

But the 12 dancing ballerinas sound adorable and can't wait to see pics!

  8. Thank you SO much for the templates for the pillows. This will definitely be my next crafting project. :) Love the new Christmas shirt/onesie! Hope I can manage to snag one in the 12 to 18 month size before it's gone!

  12. thank you for the pillow script! i think your handwritten ones are gorgeous :)

  13. Much prefer the hand written script! As an artist I like to see the hand of the creator. Just discovered your blog..should be painting, but instead am looking at other people's work. Trying to talk myself into not going back and reading your entire archives today and instead getting back to work myself.

  14. I'm sorry I missed the time it was up! I totally understand why you had to remove it (though I'm not so creative as to be able to make anything that someone would want to sell!)!!

    Have a Merry Christmas!

  15. Sorry to hear your work was being abused. I saw a pillow made by Barbara @ Hodge Podge using your template (she linked to and credited you!), and it's gorgeous!

  16. Perhaps, you would be willing to share the templates with a private e-mail. It is a shame that people miss use free items. Thank you!

    1. YES!!! I too would LOVE it if you would share your template via private e-mail. I am crazy about these pillows and your font, but do not dare to attempt on my own... I need to create lumbar sized pillows for my small, vintage club chairs; maybe 10x12"?? Please consider sharing...!!

  20. Would love to have a copy of your templates but fully understand if you are unable to send them to me. I would be using them in my home and not to sale. Your work is beautiful. cathy.leishman@gmail.com

  21. I too think your handwriting is gorgeous! I would never be able to freehand something so beautiful. I'm saddened that people would actually steal your work :( If you are still sharing, I'd love go get a template via email, but I understand if that is not possible. I would not sell them (I'm not creative enough to have a store!), nor would I give them to anyone else. My email is drenkara@yahoo.com.

  22. Please send me the templates via email if you can! I completely understand if you cannot. I would love to use only in my home! campbellgl_76@msn.com.

  23. I think like many of the people above, I found this like via Pinterest - so sad to hear people had been abusing the templates because they look gorgeous!!!! I would have loved to have made some for my new home with my soon to be hubby for our first Christmas! If you are sharing by email at all, u would love a copy :) if not - Thank you for the wonderful idea still and it's such a shame it was abused!!

  24. Oh no! I found this via Pinterest forever ago and saved it so I could pull the templates when it got a bit closer to the holiday season to make a couple pillow covers for my couch... now it seems I'm too late! How awful that people would steal your work and try to pass it off as their own. Especially when you had so generously posted the templates for everyone, with just that one small request! How frustrating that must have been for you!

If you get a chance to e-mail these via a private e-mail (and are comfortable to do so), I would absolutely love a copy of the templates. I of course would only use them for decor in my own home, not to make and sell or anything like that! My email is spiralsandspatulas (at) gmail (dot) com. I unfortunately cannot afford to pay $50 for the actual pillows in your shop (although it seems they're sold out anyway)... I DIY pretty much all of our holiday decor to save money. Regardless, thanks for the wonderful inspiration, and I'm very sorry your willingness to share was met with dishonest people taking advantage!

  26. I, too, absoluely love these and would love to have the templates emailed to me. I had decided to make them for my Mom and my two daughters as a Thanksgiving gift so they could be used by then during the Christmas holiday season. I would only be using them for myself, I promise. I am sorry that other's have taken advantage. My email is beckygibb7@gmail.com. Thank you so much!

  27. I would love the templates!!! Your work and your children are absolutely beautiful. I made pillows last year in hopes of replicating something similar but gave up when it didn't turn out like yours. Now have the supplies to make the large ruler....but procrastinating. Love how your ruler turned out.

  38. Oh man -- I was all excited for the templates so I could make a set for my new white Pottery Barn couches this Christmas! Wahhhhhhh--- I will attempt to find some free fonts that are similar and invert it onto transfer paper. I would however love the template if you are emailing them out. For my living room couch ONLY! I'm too busy raising small kids to have time to do anything else with them... ckhn@comcast.net

Thanks and you are my FAVORITE blog out there!

I'd love an email too if your are sending them, I promise they are for personal use (I'm thinking living room sofa or master bedroom) ONLY. Email mrandmrsring@gmail.com

  47. I, too, absolutely am in love with your Christmas pillows. So gorgeous. And the calligraphy is so lovely. I completely understand why you had to remove the free template--what a bummer though. If you are emailing the template, I would LOVE it if you could send it to me, if you don't mind. I will ONLY use it for personal use--I just want to make a pair of these pillows for my living room--and I will be the only person to use it if you send it to me. If not, I understand. (My email is courtneykristianne@gmail.com) Thanks so much!!

  48. Hi I found your blog via Pinterest and fell in love with your Silent Night Holy Night pillows. I'm sorry you had to deal with unscrupulous people stealing your work.

I wanted to make these for my Mother-in-Law for Christmas but I am not nearly as talented as you. After 3 hours of trying to freehand the words its just not the same.

Are you sharing the template through e-mail? I would be forever grateful if you would and I understand completely if you choose not to. I saved your blog to my favorites on Pinterest and am looking forward to spending some quality time on here getting to know your blog.

    Thank You. Happy Thanksgiving

  54. I just found your website on Pinterest this morning and was so excited to see the wonderful pillows and to learn that the template was provided free of charge. However, it was such a disappointment to learn that some people used it for resale and that because of this abuse it is no longer available to those of us who wanted to use it for our personal use. If you ever decide to provide a copy of the template again I would love to receive it (sonsel@att.net), if not, I certainly understand. Wishing you and your family a very MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I was so hoping you would email the template for the Silent Night Holy Night pillows. I would love to make some for myself and my sisters. I would pay for it. Please say yes :-) I am so sorry some people have taken advantage of your kindness.

  60. Hello, I am new to pinterest and just found your website. I just love your clean yet homey decorating style. I would love to make the Silent Night, Holy Night and Joyeux Noel pillows for my living room. I too don't have the decorative handwriting to pull these pillows out without a pattern. Would you be willing to share via private email the template with me please? Happy New Year! jma_pumkin@yahoo.com Thank you! Janie

  62. Your hand written scripts are stunning! I've seen others have also asked this, but if you are willing to e-mail your templates to a private e-mail (beccashaw7@gmail.com), for personal use in my own home, I would love the "Silent Night" and "Holy Night." If you have chosen not to mess with that, I totally understand. I can only image how frustrating it must have been to find your work being sold by others as their own. Merry Christmas to you!
