Switching up the Guest Room

First, a little disclaimer, the way the light comes in this room makes it very tricky to photograph particularly this time of winter so try to ignore all the bright spots and shadows - ha! Nothing in this room is new, it's just a merging of our two guest rooms now that the other one has become Lillie's room.

There's definitely some things I'd like to change in here like the lamps and possibly adding something above the bed and I am thinking about a couple of other things to mix it up a little more, but here is how it looks for now with just the merging of the stuff from the two rooms.

  1. Jennifer, your guest room is beautiful. And to think it is composed of what you had on hand makes it amazing. You have transformed your new home into another beauty.

  2. What happened to the awesome mirrored chest? I would have used that in place of the desk and big chair! Looks great. I love switching things around and getting a new look!

    1. Hi! That room acts as Jenni's home office, so although she thinks the mirrored dresser would look pretty in there (in fact that's where she originally put it!) she needs the desk because she uses it regularly. The mirrored dresser is now in their master bedroom.

    1. Hi! Jenni tried the horse picture first, but she didn't think it popped the same way on the white walls as it did on the gray, so she's holding off for now to see if she finds anything else.

  12. Was thinking about getting the same rug for my formal dining room! Is the base color a lighter white or more cream color?

    1. Hi! Jenni says it's kind of hard to describe. It's kind of a soft white, but this post may help: http://dearlillieblog.blogspot.com/2013/10/we-finally-have-rug-our-finished-family.html
